Spanky's Place

The moving company has delivered our worldly goods. We are now officially residents, even though 90% of our stuff is still packed in cardboard boxes.

My office is now similar to what it was the last week back in Phoenix. I'm working on my laptop, which is resting on a folding card table pressed into service as a desk. Next to my laptop is my cable modem, router, VOIP phone, and power strip. Everything else is scattered or strewn about the office, all in various stages of de-packing. I'm hoping to get the servers and my main development machine set up this weekend. Perhaps, if I'm lucky, I'll even be able to purchase a desk upon which to work. Only time will tell.

The current setup, while less than optimal, still allows me to be productive -which is a good thing. I've been doing some fairly cool stuff involving JSPs, MySQL, Domino LDAP, and Domino DIIOP over the last couple of weeks, and it is all coming to a head now. I'm sorry, but my NDA precludes me from giving out any more details at this time. I can say that it is....wowsers!

Anyway, here is another view of my office. For those of you who are interested, here is my kitchen (also halfway unpacked). If you look close, you will see the previous owner did indeed leave brown stools in the kitchen.

I'm tired as hell, but that's OK. My new home, whilst extremely messy, is still very, very nice.
