Lotusphere2007 is finally here.

Jumpstarts and BDD stuff today

I'll be posting stuff (irregularly, of course) throughout the week. If you're here, hunt me down and say hello. If you're not, well, I'm sorry for that.

Now for the interesting part

Not that Lotusphere in and of itself isn't interesting; this is interesting in a different sort of way. It seems that Rocky has been trying to get a hold of me for quite some time now, and none of his emails have come through. I'll get to the (really cool) subject of his emails in a moment. My wife has told me that some emails she was expecting have never shown up, and I've also missed some other emails from friends as well. So there appears to be a problem with my email account -at the moment I don't know what it is. My email is hosted -I don't have access to the server, so until I can get in touch with my provider I will not know the cause of the problem.

The bigger problem at this point is I don't know how widespread is, or how long it has been going on. If you have sent me email and I haven't responded please do not be offended or think that I've been snubbing you -I may very well have not received it. I generally answer all of my email -unless of course you're a spammer. For the time being if you need to send me an email please send a cc: to my hotmail account: spanky762_AT_hotmail.com.

really cool subject

It seems I have been selected to be a panel member of the FUN102 Speedgeeking at Lotusphere session on Wednesday. This, for me, is a HUGE HONOR. The fact that some of the most brilliant Fellow Yellow Geeks think that I should be on this panel is truly humbling. Don't misunderstand me -y'all know I have a massive ego to feed; but this really does make me feel honored, as well as somewhat validated. (Now before this turns into an aw shucks, you want little ol' me? kind of thing I'll move on.)

So Rocky has been unable to get a hold of me (he didn't have my new Michigan phone number, and with where I'm working I'm no longer immediately available via IM) to discuss this; he was finally able to talk to me (briefly) last night. I of course accepted (gotta keep that ego fed). Now I just need to think of something worthy of presenting. It has to be interesting, cool, concise (I only have five minutes per group), and repeatable. It also (at least IMHO) needs to have a WOW factor -I don't want to show something that wastes people's time.

I'll close with that. I have Jumpstarts and BDD stuff to get to; as well as putting together my SpeedGeek content. This is shaping up to be a very, very cool Lotusphere.
