As a combined Valentine's Day / 14th Wedding Anniversary present, my lovely bride gave me tickets to B.B. King's show. We went last night, where Mr. King was playing at the Dodge Theatre here in Phoenix.

All I can say is wow, what an absolutely incredible show it was. Thank you pretty lady, for such an awesome gift.

If you haven't had the opportunity to see B.B. King live, then you have missed out on one of the greatest musical talents there has ever been.

This was the first time I have ever been to the Dodge Theatre, but it won't be my last. The venue one of the best I've been to for live performances (remember, I have some experience here, so I know what I'm talking about), and the whole atmosphere is very intimate. You don't just hear the music or see the performers, you actually "feel" part of it.

All in all, a fantastic evening.

2 - Amen to that!. When you get an opportunity to see one of the greats, you should take it. I had the great pleasure of going to the Crossroads Guitar Festival here in Dallas this past summer. I got to see a ton of guitar heroes, but one of the highlights was BB. Add to that the jam session at the end of his set. At one point you had BB King, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Jimmie Vaughan and John Mayer. Can't get much better than that. Ok maybe the Clapton Santana jam later on. Oh yeah and the Clapton Beck tune. Man what a day.
